About Stratum University

Stratum University is an online campus for South African training providers and the people they train.

Why we exist

Good training is too often locked behind classrooms, long commutes and paperwork. Many of the people who need it most study after work, on a phone, with data to think about. Stratum is built for them: short lessons, a clear schedule, fees they can plan for and results that count.

How it works

Training providers run their programmes on Stratum under their own name. Learners find a programme, register and pay online, and study in lessons of 15–20 minutes. Registered facilitators, assessors and moderators support and sign off their work, and accredited learners receive Statements of Results.

Employers, funders and NGOs sponsor learners and follow their progress in one place.

Accredited, and accountable

Accredited programmes are registered with a SETA or the QCTO through the provider offering them. Every assessment decision is recorded against the practitioner who made it, with a full audit trail.
